I think we have very different definitions of “missing”.

This book had me for a second and lost me so fast.

Overall an enjoyable entertainment read. I had a hard time putting it down as the plot was thickening. A little politically-philosophical in places (is that you, Bill?) but not enough to spoil the story.

Firstly, this doesn’t really match up to the blurb, and there is little discussion of the country’s response when the president is technically missing (for less than two days!)

I did really enjoy the thriller aspects and found it satisfying to uncover who was behind each aspect of the threat.

However, the logistical US politics stuff is not really my bag and the last chapter felt like a manifesto that didn’t really need to be there

James Patterson books tend to be those ones I read in between longer, heavier stuff because they always tend to go quickly and generally are fun and enjoyable (if not great literature). This one just dragged, however. I had really been looking forward to it. The synopsis and the title hooked me, and I was looking forward to see what Clinton brought to the story. But it took me nearly 2 weeks to finish this book because it was just so slow, and I kept putting it down. The title was misleading, as was the blurb to some extent. I had other issues, mainly with the women of the book, but I feel like going into them would spoil things for those who've not read the book yet, so I'll just leave it at that. The book wasn't bad, don't get me wrong. But it wasn't what it's been hyped up to be.

Couldn't finish. Real life politics is so crazy right now, I don't need a fictionalized version too.
