This book is wonderful as the other three I have read. Although this book it seems is all really told from her letters to Gilbert. So not really there in the moment like the others were. Unless there are many different versions of the series I'm not sure about. But in this book Anne tries to befriend everyone, although very hard to do the first part of the year. But when stumbles upon something by accident the rich people who snubbed her decide to change their mind about her. So that was really cool, she even gets the unfriendly person to change her attitude on life and such.
I wish this book would have let us read her letters from Gilbert and the others instead of oh I got your letter today my dearest. Anne also finds herself in other family affairs whether by accident or meaning to. Some were funny, some were like wow come on she was just trying to help you out. Now it did work out for the most part in some cases. l hope this 5th book is a little different as not told to much from letters. And that she finally marries Gilbert.

I like Anne's adventures in meeting new characters and places. The problem in this book was for me the author's comments on women, mainly widows and older unmarried ones. I didn't like some of her descriptions and views through Anne's character when it comes to women.
