informative inspiring slow-paced

Quite long and a bit unfocused. But it gave me a lot to think about and filled up my browser with new tabs about each of these key players and where they are now.

really good three part (as advertised) - Jennifer Doudna, gene editing (and genetics) overview, and "the future of the human race"/ethics. My favorite quote (it may have to go in my email signature): "If COVID doesn't kill us, Zoom will."

Excellent book for somebody with a life science background who quickly wants to learn about CRISPR technology, a historical background and who the key players are. It also gives a good glimpse at what the possibilities are ahead. The book is especially timely with the current COVID-19 pandemic and the significant technology used to develop the effective vaccines. Best book I've read so far this year.
