A solid body horror story- cannibalistic and gory and deeply unsettling in Ji-won's rapid descent into madness. I do wish there was more progression of Ji-won's and Alexis's relationship, but since it's not marketed as a romance I give it a pass.

Probably not a good idea to read this as someone who is very squeamish with eyes.
The ending was just a little too neat for me to feel satisfied.

I really enjoyed this book. I found the writing detailed yet fast paced so there was always something happening. Really clear and thought provoking themes of discrimination against Asian women. Personally I wouldn't classify it as horror in the way that its not fear scary, its skin-crawling gore. I loved the spin on feminist rage horror, very enjoyable end. Would recommend.
