I expected more for this story
The Mr x arc is not exploited enough
After the first book I was expecting more affinity with tan and Rachel
Some scenes were very well written and presented other were just too much

'Difficult roads lead to beautiful destinations'

We first meet Rachel in Meeting Mr Anderson when she is introduced as Holly’s friend and colleague. We learn that she is selling underwear to earn extra money to buy a house, and at the same time we learn that the elusive Mr X is her only client and paying a load of money to be her only client. From early in the book, it's hinted that Tanner is Mr X, because after their first interaction he mentioned he wanted to repay her and then again when his friend Drew asks if he has told Rachel his secret.

Rachel and Tanner’s relationship doesn’t start on the best of terms when Tanner outbids Rachel on the property that she had been saving for especially when she finds out that it's not the only house he bought in the auction. Throughout the book we see Tanner try to show Rachel that there is more to him than what meets the eye and that she can rely on him even though she wants to do everything on her own.

I really enjoyed watching Rachel and Tanners relationship grow throughout the book, the way that Tanner showed up for Rachel to show her that she could rely on him and didn’t have to do everything on her own anymore. The fact that he saw that she feared commitment and went at her pace to show her that he was willing to have whatever she wanted to give him. I also really enjoyed seeing Rachel’s journey throughout the book, we see her slowly open up to Tanner about her past and why she doesn’t do commitment which is why it’s so annoying when Tanner doesn’t come clean to Rachel about being Mr x when she comes clean about selling her underwear because she was willing to tell him and he continued to keep the truth from her.

So excited to read about Mr X and Rachel!!! We meet Rachel in Meeting Mr Anderson, and I have been “patiently” waiting to know more about Mr X.
Love love love Rachel!!!! She’s sass and strength and just amazing. Tanner is such a strong man but never overpowers Rachel. Their connection was pretty instant and I loved how it built. Tanner didn’t push Rachel and went at her pace knowing how important that was. He’s the kind of man you want to find when you haven’t had things the easiest.
This story is one that will grab you and hold on until the last word.

Elle Nicoll has done it again! After reading ‘Meeting Mr. Anderson’, I jumped at the opportunity to get an ARC of ‘Discovering Mr.X’, hoping it would be just as good. I was not disappointed!

‘Discovering Mr. X’ has it all! The chemistry between Rachel and Tanner is phenomenal. I laughed, I held my breath in anticipation, and tears welled up (RIP Nigel
