Sometimes I wonder if I read the same book when a book is so hyped up as it is. This book started off pretty good and I was ready to feel all the feelings like so many people said they had....and then nothing happened, at least not for me it didn't. Sadly this book was not meant for me.

Archer was involved in a car accident and his parents passed away. He lost his voice and lived with his uncle. He never left the property. His uncle passed away a while ago.
Bree's father was murdered and she left Ohio for a small lakeside town, Pelion Maine, where she met Archer.
Overall, it was good. But i didn't really like Bree.
like when she met Archer for the first time when her items dropped on the ground and she keep yapping to him. Second embarrassment.
the way archer viewed Bree tho, wow.
Both of them were really sweet together. There was smut is this book and I didn't enjoy it. It felt like too much at one point. So i mainly skimmed pass most of the scenes.
The book could have been a lot shorter tho. I felt like there was a lot of unnecessary scenes at the end.
Good book but not for me

I got to the penultimate chapter and began swearing, but I read on and was relieved to see that this is, indeed, a Romance Novel, not a "love story miscategorized as a romance."

But I feel like I need compensation for the near stroke I had at 10:30 last night.

I love the main character. She's so relatable and friendly. She runs away from her past and runs into Archer. Archer doesn't speak. Most believe he can't, but he's chosen not to. They build on friendship and eventually tip into love. This was not great but it isn't a terrible book.
