How's Life

I adored delving deeper into Collet and Margi's relationship and learning of how Collet died, and seeing a very similar thing almost happen to Margi. It was beautiful and poetic and helped me settle into this world so easily.

Doll Parts
3.5/5 stars

It was eerie and disturbing to see what had happened to the differently biotic people who where being experimented on at the Hunter foundation, namely Sylvia. It was a bit slower running then the first story and as wasn't quite as connected as her but overall it was still pretty good.

My Dead Heart

I think I love everything that Daniel Waters writes of this world, I was an avid visitor of mysocalledundeath.com and Tommy was always one of my favorite characters from the series. I loved getting a full length story in his point of view. To know the sadness and thoughts behind such a popular differently biotic boy. I also was really into the new antagonist, the whole religious extremist group should've been more explored in the actual books. The only issue I had with this one is the Tommy just seemed a little to much of a mushy lovesick puppy when it came to Phoebe, I just wish with him being such a strong character that he would be a little less hung up on her.

Purpose Statement

So... This was clearly the best novella in this book. Popeye is considerably my new book boyfriend. I'm also really into the idea of him and that Derek guy. Drawing and stuff. Popeye is a character that I obviously already knew, from previously reading the trilogy. But I never really knew him until now. I loved his passion for art and his dynamic with everyone. The teachers, Margi, Derek, Tommy, all of them. I wasn't too crazy about the ending of this one, but I understood why he did it that way... Just wow.

This book was just a collection of a few short stories, sort of supplemental reading. While I thoroughly enjoyed the other three books, this one seemed rushed, unfinished, and like it needed a good editor. There were typos galore, though it wasn't the worst ebook I've read (as far as grammatical errors and typos are concerned). If you've read the other books in the Generation Dead series, I'd recommend this for a quick read, but don't expect too much.
