I was so happy to find out that the second volume was already out. I actually bought it while still reading the first volume. I adore this series so far. It's got elements of fantasy, romance and a bit of horror thrown in with a diverse cast of characters. In volume two the storyline becomes a little darker. With Wynd, Oakly, Thorn and the prince still on the run they are now hunted by a group of vampyres.

I especially love Wynd and his growth in the second volume as he slowly embraces his new wings and courage. The prince is still annoying but is slowly learning, and i love the subtle flirtations between some Bastian and Oakly and Wynd and Teek. We meet a new race in the form of the faeries as more is told about the world and it's inhabitants. And the Vampyres have their own plans set into motion.

The book had me hooked so i continuesly read it in two days. Which leaves me stuck on a cliffhanger again until i have my hands on the third volume of the series. Once again the artwork is beautiful and vibrant between night and day. And the Weird Woods are another interesting location in the series.

I have nothing but love for this graphic novel and i hope you will love it too.

I'm so glad I only have to wait until August for book 3!
