Did solving the love triangle with polyamory go mainstream when I wasn't looking? I'm not complaining (this was a hell of a lot more fun than a garden variety love triangle) but I am surprised. Was this book advertised as being polyam and I just missed it, or was this a surprise for everyone?
Overall, I did enjoy this book, though not as much as A Curse So Dark and Lonely. This is the kind of book that makes you want to write fanfiction, which has to count for something. Admittedly, Ky is the only one of the three I'm really attached to, though.
My main complaint is that timeline of this book is nonsensical. For most of the book, the pacing actually isn't bad, but then you're chugging along and remember "wait, the whole first half of this book takes place in less than forty-eight hours, how do any of these emotions make any sense?" and get skeptical. If the action took place over a couple weeks or months it would probably land better. The climax genuinely is too fast pacing wise (there'sa 3-ish chapter sex scene and then two chapters of climax and then the book just ends .

The plot!!! The romance!!!! This is a slow burn filled with yearning but when we finally get to the spice…. Boy oh boy (and girl). I’m so glad they got three separate voice actors so each MC had a distinct voice. I am anxiously waiting for book 2!
Liked all three leads, book moved quickly, author built tension beautifully. Cannot wait for the next one

From the blurb, I wasn't sure which direction the story would take. How would we handle the 2 MMCs? Would this be a Peeta vs. Gale situation?
I enjoyed learning more about Jory, Asher, and Ky as we journeyed through the book. Even though we didn't get far plot-wise, we saw the character growth in each of them. Both Asher and Ky were learning to move past their PTSD. Jory was coming out of her shell after living as a sheltered princess for so long. The MMF relationship developed organically. I only wish there were more physical smut (lol). The emotional relationship among the three was definitely there.
Even though the upcoming marriage between Jory and Ky was what kicked off the story, the shift in focus to Asher was a pleasant surprise. While we learned so much about Asher's history and his inner thoughts and feelings, I hope we get to see a little more of Jory and Ky in the next book.
Spice scale (as defined by Mysterious Galaxy): 🔥🔥🔥🔥 [Grab a fan because it’s getting hot in here!] Hello, sexual tension. You just want to scream at them to f*** already. They only got to third base, though.

This is the best book I've read since my Rachel Gillig back to back to back moment in May/June. It's so well written, I love all of the characters, I love the main relationship, and the pacing was so, so good. It made me so happy and ended in such a fantastic note.
