This book was definitely very cute, I wouldn’t really consider it “dark” romance though lol
I also don’t understand why so many reviews are like “omg I sobbed my face off” LOL this entire book was so predictable from the first chapter.
I kept having to force myself to read because it was very boring at parts.

The majority of the book is getting to know and understand the cast of characters. Towards the end is when it becomes more of a thriller and really kicks it into high gear.
Absolutely devastating; I cried just like everyone else.
The institution being so “unorthodox” was hard to wrap my head around, but it led to great spicey scenes, so I guess I shouldn’t complain too much.

I did not expect this book to destroy me the way it just did. I did go to start the book and had to pause at first. It was too close to how I’ve been feeling with my own mental health issues and heart issues, but it was so worth reading. It was so dark and twisted that when the light shined through it was beautiful and cathartic. ❤️🩹
