2.5 didn't love this plot line. Writing was better than some romances I've read but there were a few too many typos for my taste. It was jarring. This was okay. A good way to spend a day when not feeling great.
Well this was delightful. Full of all the great tropes, memorable characters, a brisk pace, and a kickass heroine. Everything I want from my historical romances.
4.5 rounded up because it felt wrong to only give this 4. What a strong start to a historical series!!! High drama and high stakes and falling in love despite all odds. I love a broken man who vows never to love again, I love a single father, I love his children loving the FMC!! Nice set up for book 2 as well. Just finished this author’s Sinful Wallflowers trilogy so I’m excited to see where she takes these new girls in Wedded by Scandal.

I've really been loving audiobooks, especially historical romance. The first part was slow and the plot seemed dragged a little there also but, single parent and I can't fall in love with you trope had me. Edmond was little hard headed but, his heart was in the right place.
