A supremely fucked up horror manga that works. There are clear influences of Lovecraft style of cosmic dread mixed with truly unsettling images and scenarios. Great read for October.
This is a three book series. If you want a graphic novel that will eerily bend your mind than this is definitely for you. I enjoyed this series and read it several times.
Masterclass in modern horror. Junji ito’s gorgeous and grotesque illustrations highlight his surreal nightmare fuel worlds in a perfect blend of horror and comedy.

The closest I can get to describing this is, "What if Freddy Kreuger controlled the waking/sleeping dreams of an entire village, had an obsession with spirals, and it wasn't Freddy Kreuger at all but spiral Cthulhu?"
