Aside from Ice Planet Barbarians, this is the first book I’ve read (or rather, listened to) by Ruby Dixon—and I loved the world of Risda! Even though I know this isn’t the first book in the series, it definitely made me want to read the rest.
I absolutely adored Victor—a total champion who only wants to win Bee’s rewards. She molds him into a model citizen in the process, and along the way, she completely falls for him. It’s such a sweet story, just like all the other Ruby Dixon books I’ve read so far—they only make me love aliens even more!
Bee is an incredibly smart human who knows how to use everything to her advantage to achieve her goals, and I loved that about her.
As for the narration, I enjoyed Alexander Cendese (Victor) more than Ja’Air Bush (Bee) —I felt like Bee’s voice should have been a bit softer and less deep to match her personality better.

better than Bad Guy in some ways (honestly i’m still stuck on how awkward it felt to change Crulden/Mycrul’s name so late in that book! i’m sorry! i can’t get over it! in this one, his name change is timely and his new name is really nice, in my opinion). overall though, not as good as Bad Guy, significantly so (way less plot in my opinion, or character development). still a fun a read but mostly forgettable.

A solid Ruby Dixon offering, I loved going back to another Crueldon clone. Not as good as Bad Guy but still enjoyable. The narration was phenomenal!
Narration: 5/5

this was alright, but definitely not my favourite ruby dixon story.
Meh. Didn’t care for the asexual erasure. The story was boring. And the characters fell flat.

This was another great entry in this (duology?) with familiar faces and more information on the world of Risda.
NGL the barbed....worried me there for a minute.
