This book did have some very interesting sexy elements but I feel like the plot was a little thin and rushed. There were also repetitive thoughts between the two main characters about how they want to be together but can’t/shouldn’t be, I rolled my eyes to myself at one point because it got fairly redundant. I was hoping for more character development and insight but for me it barely scraped the surface. I also had a lot of spelling and grammar errors in my copy which threw me off.

I like Hermes and Dionysius. Their first introduction was pretty funny. Everyone needs a friend who makes a habit of sneaking past your security to raid your wine cellar and eat all your desserts.

Okay, maybe not, but it's a fun relationship, and the depth of Hermes and her past that we know nothing about makes her an interesting character.

The underlying tone in this one is a little darker than the one with Helen I think, which is interesting. The ruthlessness of the people, and the few who are unwillingly trapped in that life, is unique.

This was lovely. Misunderstood/misperceived villains is an excellent trope that Hades embraces wonderfully.

Besides, who could resist three adorable puppies?

If you're looking for Mythological accuracy this isn't the book for you. Just a warning.
I've read several Persephone/Hades stories over the last few years and while this one is very nicely ✨sPiCeD ✨ I thought Persephone having actual sisters, and not just half siblings or being an only child was weird even though it helped as a plot point. Also the whole "secret hades" threw me off like if there was no hades then why the "13" not be unbalanced and not in disarray... I know I know I'm thinking to logically about a fictional book but I cant help it!

To me it's not the best Persephone Hades story I've read but I can see the ploy for why people suggest it so much. Also I liked not having to wait half way through to get to the spice.
