This was a DNF for me as I wasn't a huge fan of Babauta's writing style. Somewhat surprising as I like his blog Zen Habits. I think it was a problem of too much at once. Babauta's writing style and his points are those that need to be read, thought on and absorbed. I think the book, although short, was too much too fast.
Of course, one could read the book slowly, but I had taken this out of the library, so it wasn't an option.

The book itself goes into more detail than his blog of the various steps one can take to simplify your life, work, habits and mind. There were some great points there too - but I still prefer his short and sweet blog posts.

Recommended for people who like books on minimalism in life and their actions (not their house), but read his blog first to see if his writing style is for you.

I’m marking as finished but I just skimmed it. It’s condescending and reeks of toxic positivity and privilege. There’s also nothing interesting or new here.
Better options I recommend:
Four Thousand Weeks by Oliver Burkeman (ESPECIALLY this one)
Atomic Habits by James Clear
Essentialism by Greg McKweon
The Lazy Genius Principles by Kendra Adachi

(3 of my 4 recs are white guys and 4/4 are white, so you can take those with a grain of salt.)

Pretty good step-by-step tutorial in how to achieve your goals through the process of elimination. Morning & evening routine ideas, exercise & health tips, goal crushing guide.

Felt wrong to make this book a multitask read along with other books on my shelf (the whole “single tasking” message and all) BUT for what it is, most of the book doesn’t require much brain power. Generally common sense information for mindfulness.

Easy to read, and a good reminder of productivity habits I already know but do not consistently practice.

A light and easy read (170 Pages) for those who want clear and consice 'self help'. The book covers the commonsense and often 'obvious' answers to managing our mental health, feelings of overwhelment and every day stresses in a way that is essentially bullet point reminders of things most of us already know. However because it's so simple in it's nature and the way it's written it's a great reminder of things we often overlook in life and forget about, bringing the reader back to a reality in a gentle nature. A great first book for those new to the self help genre.
