This felt like a different book than others in the Slab series. Alex was sent to apprehend pirate Jack in space. The problem was, the plot couldn't hold my attention. While this was probably written to show greater depth of Alex's character, I just thought it took him off track.

Please, let's leave Alex on the Slab for future installments!
