Alexandria Lee has written an extremely hot, emotionally driven, and how the hell did it come to be this way story. Alice and Ethan are characters that you probably know their doppelgänger in real life. A dancer and a soon-to-be lawyer whose lives are entangled with one another.
Watching Alice & Ethan struggle their way through and try to find happiness in their lives will have you turning the pages fast. I so want to go more deeply into a few things but doing so will give it all away. I will say that there is (for some people) a “taboo” subject dealt with.
I personally found the character development and world building to be wonderfully done. Lee has done an astounding job in Dancing with Sin. I will be reading her again.

Dancing with Sin by Alexandria Lee is a forbidden romance between a heartbroken woman and her soulmate, the only problem is he’s engaged to her older sister.
This book started off with Alice, a twenty-four-year-old dancer, heartbroken and run out of her former dance studio by her ex and his new girlfriend Alice moves to Chicago to start fresh and deal with the pain. Alice’s ex-boyfriend cheated on her and dumped her after they had been together for five years. Alice moves in with her sister, Monica, and her fiance, Ethan. Alice and Ethan are immediately drawn to one another when they meet, their chemistry is explosive and intense. Alice tries to resist the connection she feels with Ethan while also protecting her relationship with her sister, but she fails miserably as she falls hopelessly in love with Ethan.
Dancing with Sin had me captivated from the beginning. It wasn’t just the story that had me hooked, but the descriptive writing itself. Alexandria is a talented author who has an exceptional way with words. This slow burn between Alice and Ethan is unlike other romances. Alice was willing to give up her forever love to protect her sister’s heart and happiness.
Alexandria hasn’t made her characters into some idealistic fictional fantasy. These characters are very real and reflect realistic flaws. We see Alice grow and mature as the book goes on. Ethan is a romantic at heart and having met his soulmate, he won’t settle for anyone other than her even if it means he’ll have a lifetime of loneliness.
The story is told from Alice's point of view and I did not once wish we had Ethan’s point of view because this was Alice’s story of growth, happiness, and finding her forever love. Alexandria conveyed the story effectively through a single POV.
I loved this story more than I can describe. I laughed, cried, and felt every bit of emotion Alice felt. This story doesn’t have the typical cliches and that makes this book all the more unique.
This book has made it to the top of my 2020 reads and I cannot wait for more from Alexandria. If you haven't already picked up a copy of this book because you will not regret it. I have a feeling this is one book I’ll be reading over and over again. I HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK! If I could I would give this book a 5+ stars rating!
