Jackson Brodie mysteries always hit for me. The contents and themes of this particular mystery were especially gruesome, but it was all wrapped up pretty satisfactorily for me.

This is my favorite Jackson Brodie book. The previous books were kind of downers because of him. Yes, we get it, bad things happened to you, Jackson. But in this book the Debbie Downer was muted and the rest of the characters were quite interesting.
