I enjoyed the action, world building, characters, and slight mystery.
But sadly this book could have done much better with less spice. I wanted to see the mcs development with each other and outside of each other. Get to know their past better or them.

A very interesting world and story but a pretty underwhelming romance that is almost purely sexual and gets uncomfortably close to rape even if it has plot relevance. The second book focusing on two characters I have virtually no interest in did not encourage me to keep reading the other books of the series.
