I absolutely loved this book. It is so great the way the characters start to work together and grow closer day by day. Monica seems like a princess but don't be fooled she has an amazing talent in the way she reads people. Ray may think she can't get along with Monica but they actually share some of the same visions for the winery. Their banter is quite amusing. I love the whole Greek family aspect. Overall just a truly enjoyable story.

I am a complete sucker for a good fake dating/marriage book. I really wanted to read this book from the first time that I saw the book, but I had to wait a bit to get Kindle Unlimited. I have some complicated feelings on this book. I really enjoyed it, but something felt like it was missing.

Monica’s job has taken a bit of a hit after a recession and her ex-girlfriend is selling the house out from under her. She’s angry about it and it doesn’t help when she’s reluctantly attracted to the handy ma’am. Ray is the handy ma’am hired to renovate the house to sell it, but she doesn’t really want to deal with Monica to do it. The two clash a lot, but Monica bribes Ray into coming along to visit her dying grandmother. Apparently, Ray makes a good impression because the grandmother leaves a vineyard to Monica…if she marries Ray.

I really enjoyed both of these characters. I knew I was going to like Ray. She was sweet, but she wasn’t a pushover. She wouldn’t be taken advantage of, but she was willing to help someone in need. Monica was the surprising part. I read a brief excerpt from the beginning of the book, so I wasn’t sure if Monica was going to annoy me or not. With the exception of a few points, she didn’t. She was a really good character and I found that I really enjoyed her. Also, she’s not solely an influencer but she is one. This will be the third book I’ve read with an influencer character, and I’ve loved all of them. What is it with that character type that I like and are there more books like that?

I said that I felt as though something was missing and I think it might have been the bonding between the two. There is quite a bit of bonding done between the two but there are also time skips that I think might have added more to the character. Personally, I also would have liked more after the last chapter, but it wrapped up nicely even without additional chapters or an epilogue.

This book was just excellent. I really enjoyed the humor between the two and the characters had chemistry even when they were fighting. I was invested in the two getting closer and the vineyard being able to become more than it was. This book did have the regular 80% drama, but it wasn’t horrible. With Monica’s character it even made sense.

.

This was a pretty cute book. I think the characters were a little too unlikeable at the beginning, and even with all the convenient trappings it was hard to see why they would be willing to spend any time together but it came together quite nicely in the end. And who doesn't dream of running a small, beautiful vineyard.

What a series of misunderstandings in the Accidental Honeymoon! Holy sugar it is like a comedy that just happens to have romantic sparks in the beginning. I kept thinking of those buddy movies with Walter Mattheau and Jack Lemmon, where all they do is fight and it takes you a minute to realize, “Hey, they really like each other!” Then your heart gets all warm and fuzzy...yup this is what Miranda MacLeod has done.

I just happen to live in the areas that MacLeod writes about so it makes an even sweeter connection for me. (If you want to read something really funny about the backstory, check out MacLeod’s best friend’s, T.B. Markinson, blog about it.)

I just have to hand it to Ray because MacLeod puts her through her paces. I think I almost peed my pants laughing so hard when Ray has a precious moment with Mr. Fluffles. There is also another moment, but the first real time is freaking hilarious. MacLeod provides many moments like this...a perfect movie right here folks!

Accidental Honeymoon is one accident you want to be a part of at any time of the year.

I received an ARC of this book and I am writing a review without prejudice and voluntarily.
