I think I lost the point of the book. I didn't click with the humor (I did like her 1st book/memoir).

I read the first book physically but decided to audio the second. It's a rare instance where they are both just as entertaining. I did love hearing all the anecdotes from Jenny's own voice, it made for a really funny listen. I found myself laughing to myself more often than not. Despite the sad undertone of dealing with mental health, these books are so fun to listen to and make those who might be struggling with themselves feel a little less alone.

Another book down from my TBR list!
Lawson packed a lot in this book and it's clearly something that she probably does often from the sounds of it because while listening to this book, it's easy to hear that she is a talker.
I found her funnier chapters to be at times over the top but funny, I enjoyed listening to her talk her thoughts through which shows how her brain functions and the ridiculousness of it because I have moments where I can think the same way but the harder chapters in which she's talking about her physical and mental health and the different challenges she's experienced come across as genuine and on the audiobook, her voice and tone match to reflect the serious nature.
I did find though that this wasn't a book I could listen to all the way through. I had to pause at different times because it was too much at different times. It was either her over the top moments and the way she almost screams into the mic, or just the long rambles of thoughts that somehow made it into a chapter, or the whiplash of one ramble into another that made or there were moments where it felt that she was trying to hard to be funny that made me keep stopping.
