Comical in some parts but completely random and without a point in others. The narration felt like a stranger rambling about taxidermy, which I, unfortunately, have no relation to. It was hard to follow and I didn’t really take anything from it. It started off strong with comedy about mental illness, anxieties, and life in general but fell short quickly.

I laughed so hard I cried -- more than once! It also empowered me to be more open and unashamed about my own experiences with mental illness and other struggles. Will definitely read again at some point.

Is it too early to ask when Jenny's third book will be published?

This one was honest but still laugh out loud funny in spots. Loved it!!

This is a book that made me literally laugh out loud several times. Jenny Lawson lets us inside her brain and shares some of her innermost thoughts and "crazy" life moments. With her no-filter comedic writing style, she lays bare the mental gymnastics her brain takes her through as she lives with various mental illnesses. Never have I read a book with so many references to taxidermy, arson, and possums. It was wonderful in every way. Also, this may be the best book cover I've ever seen - certainly the most eye-catching!

Not for me.

Jenny Lawson just continues to be absolutely hilarious! I love this book as much as I did the last. I listened to the audiobook and got to hear the extra chapter at the end. I highly recommend listening to Jenny Lawson read her books aloud. Just the best!

Funny and desperately heartbreaking, Jenny Lawson shows us the light beyond the dark.
