Format: Audiobook

Easy to listen to, super inspiring and informative. Loved reading pieces from some of my favourite authors and creators.

This book is not just a great book for teens but for all people who are wondering what they can do to be more active and involved.

I loved the art in this book of the individual people but I wish there was more of it (I am thinking of how Notorious RBG had great art and diagrams!)

I thought this had a wide variety of essays and works for lots of different types of people so that it was easy to find someone to relate to.

I also really appreciated the suggested reading list in the back!

For anyone who felt lost, confused, and impassionated after the last presidential election will find this book passionate, exciting, and empowering.

Nothing spectacular, but it was a good 3-hour listen. Definitely targeted to teenagers. I most enjoyed the first essay by Junauda Petrus about if grandmothers ran the police department. I also really appreciated the self-reflection media literacy questions that were provided by Jonny Sun.

It was interesting because occasionally one contributor would make a statement that seemed to be contradicted by the next author. However, I guess that’s part of the nature of resistance; everyone resists in their own way.

Not bad, and still relevant even though 45 is not President anymore.

I listened to this on audiobook so I didn’t get the comics, and my focus drifted away a bit more than in a fiction audiobook. I think this was clearly targeted toward teens so some things weren’t relevant or were too specifically focused on that. It was interesting to hear different perspectives and ideas about resistance and activism. Perhaps would have been better in physical form for me.

Hard to rate because some inserts were absolutely amazing and some were really hard to get through (looking at you, feminism= ovaries people) but overall a lovely guide for teens (and just people new to activism)
