I haven't read a lot of crime thrillers, but some of what I have read has been dreadful. This book wasn't complex and the prose was simple but I had a good time. I felt that Jewell unpacked the gray areas between good and evil pretty well, but a couple of key characters felt underdeveloped and this reduced the pay off in the end.

I love Lisa Jewels style of writing. She has a way of building on all the characters in the book leaving you guessing until the end on who the perpetrator is. This book was rather twisted and talks about some unsettling events that may not be suitable for all crowds. All in all, this a great read.
