First time reading The Chronicles of Narnia. I think the child me would have lapped this up but reading as an adult, I just felt there were too many religious connotations within it for my own personal liking. The story was well written and narrated.

I love these fairy tales!!! Like crazy! So nostalgic. I read these in chronological order because that’s how the set I had as a kid went. And I think the Magicians Nephew is my favorite! Also how relevant to our current times is The Last Battle?!?

Sometimes I feel like maybe I should re-read this, because I loved it a lot...

...then I remember how much woman-shaming/outright misoginy was in these books (thins I only noticed after reading essays on them now that I'm in my late teens) and I decide that maybe it's best to leave it the way I thought it was when I was a kid.
