This book is not for people who want a straightforward account of how Earthbound was made. And thank God that that's not what this book is.
Earthbound reads like a memoir/philosophical treatise/cultural examination of Earthbound's inception and influence. If you're a gamer who loves any of those forms of literature, this book will give you plenty to think about.
I look forward to seeing more of [a:Ken Baumann|225289|Ken Baumann|https://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1383106861p2/225289.jpg]'s work. You should, too.

An interesting if not wordy essay of growing up with a game that draws more parallels to our lives than first imagined. But not much history on the game itself and more about the author which, while entertaining is still filler.

This book is very, very personal. The ability to explore the world of the author through one of my favourite games was really interesting!
