Chase Dagger is a PI in Cedar Point, Indiana. His business partner is Sara Morningsky, a Native American shape-shifter. Dagger does not remember a lot about his childhood, but when someone shows up at his doorstep and he has to kill him and then a clone of this mystery man shows up in another locale, Dagger knows something if really off. Then, his paranoid friend, Skizzy, finds a microchip integrated into Dagger's brain stem. Who are these mysterious men, who blow themselves up when pressed? And how do they tie into Dagger's mysterious past? Dagger travels to the middle of Nebraska for answers and almost dies. This series is getting deeply weird, but always intriguing.
