Wow! This series is so fun, and the twists and turns and details are amazing! I feel like I need to go back and re-read the first four books to catch all the connections- this series is just *that* good! So many things are revealed in this installment, and I am on the edge of my seat, dying for the next book! I am so impressed with the effort the author has put into this series- the research, the details- I feel like she must have a giant whiteboard at home with lots and lots of tidbits of info written on it!

Leaves you guessing and speechless at the same time.

By far one of the best series I've read in along time. I absolutely love Huntley story. Intriguing and amazing always keeps me guessing. Cliffhanger I need more now. I'm still recovering from reading this book.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Great read. I love the book and the series in general. The only downside is that they are kind of shorter books. The storyline so far has been really good. This book doesn’t have as much action as the others. It started tying up other loose ends but not all of them.

*Duplicated from previous review for this series. A new review will be written for book 7 once complete.

As previously mention (in my review for book 1), I have already read most of this series (all the way to book 6, with only book 7 left to read or listen). Which can have an upside and a downside. The upside is, obviously this series is good enough that I have consumed it in a quick manner. The downside is...I can not give anything more than a vague review. Simply because at this point, I know everything that is going on, but cannot remember which book it specifically occurred in. Leaving me unable to give much more than the following:

The series follows Huntley as she learns how to navigate being a spy and being in love. The friendships and relationships that she develops despite her training to avoid bonds. And the truths surrounding the death of her mother, who her family REALLY is, and who she is meant to be.

I am really enjoying the series. The audiobooks are (to me) really quick and easy listening. I believe at most the longest book so far has been about 7 hours (give or take a bit). The great thing is that it is very easy to listen to and follow what is happening.

I started the series on a whim, trying to find something that was available at the time, so I could listen to something while cleaning the house. And it has held my attention enough that I have continued on.

I can state that I enjoy the mystery surrounding Huntley's past and her present. Although, I do find her to be slightly annoying in some instances. At first it was slightly difficult to remember all the names and who was who simply because she meets a lot of people, but the further into the series you get the easier it is to remember who falls into what category.

So this series is not one on my high lists of books to recommend...however, I've invested enough time into the series I still want to see how it ends. It's like watching a show that started off kinda cheesy but it was fun, and now you just want to know the ending. Writing is not strong, and the characters are sometimes worthy of actual eye rolls. Like every young adult is going to always be assessing their surroundings, yet is surprised by the most random things. It's a fine read, nothing outstanding, but an easy read while trying to get into another series. (to be fair here, I'm still getting over my Throne of Glass series and reading random easy books is a way I'm hoping gets me through or might have to just re-read the series:)

Love the series, but at this point the author is telling the same information over and over and over again. I found myself skipping whole passages, and literally skipping to the end. You could literally only read the last few chapters and know everything that had happened in the whole book. Very frustrating. I likely will not be finishing the series.
