I hate bookstagram for peaking my interest to read this. It wasn't worth it. I don't remember what it was on bookstagram that made me add this to my tbr. If I had to guess, it was probably a dirty quote because those were the only scenes that made sense. It was like the author only wanted to write sex scenes because the plot was lost and the character development wasn't there. Both the FMC and MMC went from 0-60 too many times.
The FMC's dark secret was very underwhelming and made zero sense. I felt she was so immature all over. The MMC was all over the place. Everything was a hot mess. This book was so cringe and not in a good way.
The only loveable part of this book was the dog.

I got to page 195, and I just couldn't read anymore. The MFC is so hot and cold that it gave me whiplash. I wanted to know what her "BIG" secret was, and holy shit was I so completely let down. This book kind of sucked... like I'm sorry, but it was such a yawn fest 🤷🏼♀️
Honestly I really, really enjoyed this book. It’s no secret that fake relationship, enemies to lovers books are holy grail books so I can safely say this one hit the mark for me.
The banter between these two was *chef’s kiss*. These two had a deep loathing for each other which made their chemistry equal as explosive. I loved these two and they were the perfect match. Liam’s alphaholeness against Isla’s feisty, fiery nature was a winning combo.
I loved hearing Liam and Isla being brought to life by Shane East and Roxy Isles. They brought these characters and their personalities to life flawlessly!
The Proposal was entertaining, spicy, and an overall really great read!

Isla is such a wonderful friend. She can't lie to her friends. So when Lila asked her if she should marry Liam she told her no. Because she felt that he isn't in love with her. She didn't know that he didn't want to marry Lila because he loves her but because he needs a wife and a child.
And Liam? OMG Liam. What a man... 🫠
Yes, he is an alpha🕳️ and many many other things. I stopped counting at 10 different "nicknames" Isla had for him. They so hate each other at the beginning. But we all know, what hate each other so much is in love with each other, right? The chemistry is so 🔥🔥🔥 between them. And the $ex 🥵
Like every MMC in Laxmi's books, so is Liam also a dom. This book isn't the 🌶️yest book I've read so far by her, but it's still very 🌶️
They both have secrets from each other. Liam's is just 😱 Liam's younger brother Weston is one of "The 7". The Seven are the MMCs from the previous series, they all got kidnapped together when they were children. And yes, this affected their whole families. Some parents got divorced. But how it affected Liam... I still can't find words for it especially because I don't want to say too much and spoil it. I'm still sooo sorry for him.
I loved to see so many of the seven in this book. Not only at the wedding but also throughout the whole book. And I'm so excited for Hunter and Zara's book. Oh, they hate each other even more than Liam and Isla.
Oh, and it's the first time we met Tiny 🐶 This oh so crazy Great Dane who is addicted to 🍾 🙈 Can't wait to read more about him. I already know that he plays a huge role in the next books 🩷

First time reading a book in this series, now I see why. The writing is choppy, the story does not flow well. The characters as not very likable. Especially the female lead. She’s got this agenda and then uses it against the guy over and over. Hoping for a HEA for them was a struggle.
I wish writers would stop leading with overly stating the Alpha in the story, especially if he’s going to demonstrate behaviors not conducive of being said Alpha.
