Wow.
I'm going to start off by saying that this book is not for the faint of heart. You're either going to love it or hate it. It deals with SO many sensitive topics, that if you can't handle reading that type of material, you'll be one of the few that either DNF or give it a low star rating. BUT if you're okay with reading sensitive topics, love domestic psychological thrillers and suspense novels... then this one is right up your alley.
As newlyweds, Jack and Grace Angel seem to have the perfect marriage. They have a stunning home, on a beautiful property. They are always very affectionate with each other. They know how to throw pretty amazing dinner parties, serving up delicious plates and the best wine. Jack is a successful attorney, with an incredible reputation. Grace, a fabulous cook and gardener, has given up her career to be a full-time homemaker and caretaker to her sister Millie who will soon be coming to live permanently with Grace and Jack. However, things are not always what they seem and when the guests leave and the doors close, a darkness falls over the Angel residence.
Incredibly written.
The character development was strong.
The dual timelines (past/present) tie in seamlessly with each other.
I was honestly pulled in from the very start and could not put it down.

14 pages in and I couldn’t get myself to read anymore. I can’t see the hype right now.
This was a good book, quick read and suspenseful. The ending was a bit anticlimactic compared to the rest of the story but would recommend 100%. A solid 4.5.
Very quick read. I couldn't put it down. It was pretty stressful and also frustrating at times and I wish that there had been more to the ending but all in all it was pretty good.
