This has The Housemaid type beat. It was creepy & entertaining. I enjoyed it. Questioned a few elements to the story, but an easy read for a thriller fan!

Honestly very predictable from about halfway through. I enjoyed the main character, but the back story of her husband Jack seemed a little thrown together.

Good but not great, and would not read again. I would recommend this to someone who needed to get into reading again. I just wanted more details and everything was all over the place. This was the author’s first book, so I’m sure if she revisited it, it would be better. It was just high anxiety all the time, and she thought she ended with such a banger of a last line, but I didn’t want it to end this way. I wish there was an afterword of what happened to Millie and Grace. Also Esther seemed sus the whole time, why didn’t she just make a point of it earlier? I wanted more about Jack, we kinda breezed over that. But this is crazy sadistic but I want a movie.
