To be honest, I found this to be boring. I thought it was going to have an amazing twist or a fantastic ending… but I was really let down. There’s like zero emotion in the writing itself.
I absolutely hated the characters. Grace was so gullible and wimpy that it made it so exhausting to read. Jack was a shitty villain. If he had the inherent desire to torture people, why go to all this trouble for this particular girl? Surely there would be faster and easier targets. The plot was so pointless and unrealistic.
do yourself a favour and read The Housemaid by Freida McFadden instead.
