This was a suggested read from a work buddy and I loved it! Great read and nice ending, although I think it would have been more of an interesting story if

someone else had done it besides Grace, like Milly or Ester for example. It was a nice surprise that Ester did come around in the end, though.

I received an Early Readers Copy from the publisher at BEA 16.
A Lifetime movie in book form. Pretty predictable story line, mediocre writing, but a pretty good ending. The ending is what saves this book.
****SPOILERS***
The book is nothing more than a prolonged torture story with a revenge ending. The author missed out on building tension by using a flashback style to tell the story. I believe it would have been more effective to have written the story in a more straightforward fashion. The main character is a rather stupid woman and a bit too naive for a 40 year old in 2016. And is saved by the bravery of her younger sister who has Downs Syndrome. I hated that the Downs character talked in baby-talk, but loved that she was smarter and a bigger risk taker than her sister. After finishing this book, I doubt if even the author liked her main character. Glad this book was free.
