A very fun read as a spy book. It could have been better balanced with humour, I felt like the beginning and end had some quite funny lines but the middle was lacking in this regard. I was left wanting to know more about the characters and I'll grab the second book in the series when I have my next craving for a spy thriller.

The audiobook reader wasn’t my favorite. With all the scene cuts it was sometimes hard to tell who was talking.
Graphic: Religious bigotry, Xenophobia, and Violence
Moderate: Alcoholism

The whole book seems as though it is simply introducing a cast of characters for the rest of the series. I feel plenty of other books manage more eloquent introductions. I didn't feel any connection with the vast majority of the characters and it felt rather two-dimensional at times. The plot was interesting, however, and I would probably read another in the series to see if it comes alive once all the characters are established.
Graphic: Xenophobia and Violence
