Very weird, yet interesting book. I enjoyed reading it, but I wish there was a little bit more explanation on what was going on with all the sci-fi bits. Also, hateful comments against poles were quite a rather unexpected, and hard to understand, surprise.

I really enjoyed how Billy Pilgrim's past, present, and future scenes were interwoven together. It strikes me as similar to La Noche Boca Arriba, a story I really loved for similar elements. Also, I have visited Dresden and never realized this book dealt with the bombing of Dresden in 1945.

[read for eng lit]

"All moments, past, present, and future, always have existed, always will exist. [...] They can see how permanent all the moments are, and they can look at any moment that interests them. It is just an illusion we have here on Earth that one moment follows another one, like beads on a string, and that once a moment is gone it is gone forever."

Fresco, original, sério e carregado de humor ao mesmo tempo. Olhar crítico sobre as actividades bélicas. E a mão de Vonnegut embrulha tudo magistralmente.
