Kinda made me uncomfortable at times with how real the conflicts were but overall very good! Points deducted for not being super related to the gang of rascals, the series titular Victorian Rebels but they meet them later in the book so whatever. I love dukes anyway what am I gonna do hate it? I can’t

I love all the characters in Kerrigan's Victorian Rebels world. This fourth installment was towards the top in the series for me.

Hmmm I wanted to love this one so much and I think it had a lot of the things I was looking for. I really liked Cole and Imogen, and I was absolutely rooting for them both!
unfortunately, I didn't really like the ensemble element of the book, even though I had read some of the previous books in this series. I wish the book had focused more on Cole/Imogen and less on how they were acquainted with previous couples. I also didn't like that Morely was such a huge focal point.

i DEVOURED this in one mf day. all in the middle of moving! so productive of me.
no but srsly this was a proper enemies-to-lovers that i appreciated greatly. but forget the romance... what abt the absolute sQUAD BUILDING. i mean new book = new besties for everyone. im actually obsessed with them all having dinner and discussing their progressive views. so true of them. argent (book #2) is still my fav tho i have to be honest but WHATEVER, ily trenwyth and imogen.

that one scene where they all walked into Scotland yard:
the boys, the boYS, the BOYSTHEBOYSTHEBOYS

Definitely my favorite of the series! This was a plot line I haven't seen before, so it was refreshing and well written. Once again, Ms. Byrne's writing style is highly complimented!
