My FIRST Goodreads Giveaway win. Super stoked to read this!

Review:
The Apothecary's Curse is a well-written tale. I thought the prose flowed nicely and unobtrusively--the perfect way to carry a reader along. My appreciation carried over to the wording choices that were made depending on whether the scene was set in the past or the present. That slight differentiation really helped set the mood for whichever time period I was reading about, and I found myself looking forward to switching back and forth to see what was happening in each timeline.

While I deeply enjoy the question of the 'pain vs. gain' of immortality, I found myself unable to really connect with the characters. It might just have been that I was heading back to school at the time of reading, but I felt the events lost their impact as the novel progressed.

A huge thank you to Pyr for my ARC of The Apothecary's Curse!
