Would not have guessed this was Satoshi Kon; not many forward echos of later work. An enjoyable read, but pretty lightweight.

Written by the man who bought us perfect Blue. The art is stunning, it took me as long as it did to read (the whole day rather than a couple of hours) because I would stop to admire the art of go over the spread again.

The story is fantastic, a look into tradition Vs modernisation, generational differences and whether the promises held by your past generation should be upheld by the youngest generation.

Full of compelling characters, humans.

A slow book that looks into humanity and finding yourself, having a crisis of faith, family and community!

It ended up being alright. Some interesting premises, but I felt like it could have done a lot more with its premise.

Loved it. The sequencing was a bit choppy at times and confusing, but I dug the story and the art. Would make a lovely movie, but already a lovely manga!
