I love literary fiction about authors/publishing. It’s so meta but so fun. I thought this was incredibly well done

I really should have DNF’d this book but I pushed myself to finish. How do you have an entire novel about two bestselling authors refusing to communicate? I don’t even want to call this miscommunication because that implies there is any communication at all and that is not the case.

I also think the FMC is particularly infuriating and that’s saying a lot because there isn’t a single likable character in this story. The way they talk about writing and about being g a writer was so pretentious my eye started to twitch.

It’s also marketing as a romance and I do not think that is what this book is. I could go on at length but two stars because writing a book is hard, no matter what that is an accomplishment on its own but it was rough to get through.
