Couldn’t force myself to continue. Too stupid for words, with a massive misunderstanding based on a huge assumption made by a supposedly intelligent person. Could have been cleared up with one minutes conversation.

Another great story from this author. Very interesting reading about the things that women had to endure in the 1920’s.
I enjoyed the main characters ability to bring us on a journey that wasn’t so ahead of her time. Shocking to think how and what women had to put up with in their lives for the sake of respectability and also amazed that the human race continued given sometimes the cruelty inflicted on women by men as they gave birth.
Well written and thoroughly enjoyed.

Hugely, addictively readable, the kind of book you devour in big chunks at a time - this is the story of Evie in 1920s New York. who is determined to become an obstetrician. This is an occupation that until very recently has been unheard of for a woman and one which is still most definitely not the choice of a respectable lady who is expected to marry young and uphold appearances at all times. Despite her family's objections, Evie ploughs ahead and to fund her studies she moonlights as a Zeigfried girl at the famous Ziegfried Follies.

One of the stars of this book is 1920s New York: the parties, the clothes, the glamour are present in spades but they butt up against traditional expectations of women and marriage. I was also genuinely fascinated by the details of childbirth at that time.

The book isn't without its flaws. Evie got on my nerves several times with her reactive nature that kept causing problems for herself. Also, the villain of the story is such an over the top villain that he lacks realism. Oh and the title of the book (which references F Scott Fitzgerald) is terrible! But overall, if you're after a good story set in an interesting time, this is a great choice.

I thoroughly enjoyed this gem of a book from local Perth author, Natasha Lester. Oh my goodness. Where do you even start? Natasha paints the most amazing picture of life in the 20s in New York with the most incredibly bold and daring heroine you'll ever meet in 2016. The thing I loved best about "A Kiss from Mr Fitzgerald" was that it kept me on the edge of my seat right up until the last chapter. I thought I could pick the ending and then BAM! Plot twist.

Such a fantastic book from an equally fantastic author. Loved it.

Another great read from Natasha Lester. I loved this book! I'm now sad that I've read all 5 of her historical fiction books and am going to have to wait for her next one to come out in 2021.

A great story set in a delicious era.
Evie Lockhart, the protagonist, gets a job as a Ziegfeld Girl to fund her way through medical school, I was fascinated by both areas of her life.
A well researched book which gives shocking details about the methods of child birth in the 20s, you very much champion Evie as she fights to be heard in a man's world. I loved hearing about The Ziegfeld Follies, it's an era I'm passionate about... I think the story would have benefited from even more details about the setting.

It was a very well crafted story, if a little predictable but that didn't take away from the quality of the writing.

I enjoyed this book alot and read it in 12 hours. The only reason it got a lower star was because it has less depth then the others.
But overall a good read and a nice love story too
