Very fun, but holy heck was this one convoluted. But interesting, and it all wove together in the end.

Taken

I loved the premise of Taken and the twists and turns made it that much better. Cannot wait to read the next book in the series.

TAKEN is one of Eden’s most suspenseful books yet. I don’t normally try very hard to find out the killer beforehand (instead letting it be given to me as the story allows), but I was nowhere close to guessing correctly. Eden takes a town and completely obliterates it. Death and tragedy and hidden agendas and revenge…TAKEN is in the thick of it all and I couldn’t stop once I opened this book. It was a wild, wild ride; one that I really enjoyed.

Bailey’s the only known survivor of the Death Angel and she’s scarred both mentally and physically from it. But her inner fighter won’t let go of the fact that she knows another woman was out there with her, and connecting with LOST is the only option she has left to find that missing woman once and for all. Because while Bailey barely survived, her inner fighter won’t stop fighting for others and she’s stuck in the loop of knowing what she saw with no evidence to prove it. And when she’s paired with LOST’s new agent, Asher, her heart can no longer fight that it can feel something again. Something other than constant danger and fear. The secretive and intense nature of Asher calls to her, but it’s more his big, protective body that makes her feel safe and the protectiveness he exudes that really draws her in.

I absolutely loved the storyline for this novel. There was so much death and destruction with unlimited twists and turns that there was no way to tell up from down. It was exciting and altogether thrilling. The addictive nature of it made it completely unputdownable. The only thing that took my rating down was the romance between Bailey and Asher. I wanted to feel their connection, but it didn’t catch me or dig its claws deep into me like I wanted. Even with that connection issue for me, it didn’t detract from the story or my enjoyment of it. Eden masterfully wrote a heroine who consistently struggles with fear and post traumatic stress issues, but she balanced it in such a way that she was still a very strong and resilient character. TAKEN is amazing suspenseful storywriting and I’m always amazed at how great Eden’s stories are. And after each novel of this series I finish, I am always looking ahead to when the next one will be out. Cannot wait!

This was another extremely enjoyable story in the LOST series. It was so full of twists and turns but a couple of times I did get a little lost with all the characters, but also partly due to a mix up in character names at one point.

However the story was gripping and it completely sucked me in. It also did come together really well and the last few chapters had me on the edge of my seat. I really had no idea who the killer was, yet I knew the story was nearing its inevitable conclusion.

As for the two lead characters they were both extremely likable. Bailey was such a fighter and I loved how Asher saw that in her and made her see she was a real survivor. No matter what anyone else said and Asher with his past was the perfect guy for her.

Overall though this made for a compelling story that will keep you hooked throughout and is definitely worth reading if your a fan of the author/series or just love a good Romantic Suspense that will keep you guessing until the very end.

Private agent and survivor of a serial killer team up to find a missing victim. They're both tough characters with a load of baggage and very admirable strength. I liked their bond of trust from the start - he listens her instincts and never patronises her, and she's as protective of him as he is of her. Their romance definitely steamy, though there's a bit of insta-attraction.

I liked them leaning on each other for support on their complicated pasts, and how they helped each other find the light in their own darkness. The balance between romance and murder is great, and the mystery is chilling and twisty, though at some point it
went a bit nuts and it seems like everyone is a killer, lo

Too much lust too fast, especially from Bailey just 6 months after her ordeal, and that really dragged down the book for me. I did like Asher a lot, but he wasn't much different than most of Eden's other heroes. There were a lot of twists and turns, and the pace was pretty quick and exciting, so it was a good read, but not quite great for me.
