I started out enjoying this book, but quickly grew tired of the author's voice and her stories. This may have made a better series of essays instead of an entire book. Or perhaps each chapter should have been shorter. Newman has some funny moments, but overall I wasn't that impressed. I also seriously disliked the ending - the entire "it's ok ladies, I found a man, so you will too" was obnoxious and patronizing.

A book about a grown woman who thinks life is highschool/How I Met Your Mother and thinks she's interesting bc she doesn't learn from mistakes and doesn't understand the concept of emotional intelligence. Major L.
Sadly, the title is the most interesting part of the book.

I was super excited to read this, as a nearly 30 year old with no plans for marriage or kids, but was relatively let down. While I enjoyed stories of slutty, exotic adventures, I was disappointed in the lack of relatable and dare I say inspiring? content. Maybe I had the wrong idea about this book, and perhaps we do different things while we're not breeding, but I just did not get much from this.

I didn't finish this, but gave up while I was on a plane home to Amsterdam reading about her doing every drug possible here. Not my speed. Not funny or clever enough to keep me going; felt quite self-indulgent without being particularly self-aware. Maybe it redeems itself, but I didn't stick around to find out.
Witty and fun to read because the author has a clear voice / personality. Inspiring! (Some things didn’t age super well, tho)
