I wasn't that into the new characters, but those final chapters make it all worthy. And that prologueeeeeeeee I'm dead right now.

"Being underestimated is a gift. It forces you to work harder, accomplish more"

Another 4 starts read for me, this volume was incredible, I'm still processing last volume so the new characters and the slight change of pace in the beginning was perfect. I like all the new characters that are introduce in this volume, especially Zenzele and we finally get a glimpse at Saya's family and circumstances that made her go to this school.

I’d really give this volume three-and-a-half stars. The last issue in here saves it. The twist of Marcus and Maria returning is a welcome surprise. Most of the returning cast and new characters are just so unlikable that it’s been hard to get invested in the story. If I wasn’t borrowing these volumes from the library via hoopla, I don’t know that I would have continued to pay to read.

I love Deadly Class. In fact, I would even go as far as to say that it's currently my favorite graphic novel series. I have become so attached to some of the characters that when bad things happen to them I've wanted to fling the book across the room and give up reading. After reading volume 4 I wasn't sure that I wanted to continue with the series but I'm so glad I did. Loved the new characters and ohmygosh that ending tho...I was shook. Very excited to read the next volume.
