I was initially going to give this only 2/3 stars because it has a trope I despise: the -not like other girls- main character.
then I reconsidered because I know how I acted when I was the mc's age so I don't completely blame her. of course, there are still too many parts I cringed at but...

The last few chapters really saved this book for me. I felt tears well up in my eyes. these dumb kids really, truly deserved better. The thought of waiting so long for something, but never fulfilling it. I cannot.
I want to curl up into a ball and cry.
finneas is the best, oh god.
