Throughout this whole book, I was thinking it’d only be 3 or 4 stars for me. Then I realized it was a reallyyyyy slow burn. All I can say is this coming of age story is a beautiful one. Sad things can be beautiful.

3✨ I had a huge deja vu feeling when I finished this book that I’ve read this before, and it’s a huge possibility I read this as a teenager..

This was a really easy book to fly through with short chapters and an easy style of writing. It’s is a sweet/sad story about young love and how confusing it is and how it is really shit some times. I think if I had read it as a teenager I would have connected to the characters a lot more and probably would have been sobbing at the end but unfortunately I couldn’t really connect to them for this to hit that hard.

giving it a solid 2 stars bc I was invested to read the whole thing for some reason which is wild considering how infuriating the main character was and how irritating hearing the name “Finny” was throughout the entire book!!! and why rush the ending like that ????
