I really enjoyed reading this book but that might just be because I like dead people. The writing style scratches an itch in my brain I didn't even know I had. Truly gorgeous story here.

This started off as such a sweet story, but from the time the main character died, it just wasn't great. She barely did any reaping (that we were shown, at least). Without giving spoilers, I can't really say what it was that didn't sit well with me, except that the last half didn't live up to the first.

I’m sure I’d have loved this book at 16. But now, it’s not my cup of tea and it has some very specific book icks I just can’t see passed. However they’re personal, and this book is also lovely, heartbreaking, romantic and very sweet.
