The more I think about this book the more I hate it. How casually they treat

teachers sleeping with the MMC, INCLUDING IN HIGH SCHOOL

is disgusting. The author literally says that at his junior prom

his teacher taught him to go down on a woman in a closet. There is no mention of this being abusive, or a crime or grooming him for the way he's treated by his professor. It's never dealt with. No one cares that a full professor is sleeping with freshmen or the power dynamics at play in that. Let's not normalize sexual abuse just because it's a boy

This book really hooked me. I loved how complex and layered each character was. Their personal struggles and trauma really made me feel connected to them and like they could be real people. They fell in love in such a pure and genuine way. They loved each other completely and healed each other along the way. Each character had so much going on so when they were together it felt impactful. I loved them together so much! I loved the friends to lovers trope and how protective they were of each other. This book was so freaking good!! 🌶️🌶️.75 with not really a third act breakup
