A bit too melodramatic at some points for my personal taste, but overall a tender, healing love story about two people who have been hurt in similar ways and find peace and home with each other. "I think you'd be really easy to love" really says it all about Matt and Rosalie. The glimpses we saw of Archer and Elsie's relationship were lovely and I honestly would love a whole book about them, even knowingit doesn't have a happy ending.
I don't understand why the author retconned Ro's name and just never addressed it, especially since the "princess" nickname made a lot more sense in the previous book when her name was Aurora. And the constant mentions of song titles and artist names was distracting in the beginning and obnoxious by the end, like, we get it, you listen to music!
I am dying for Bennett and Paloma's book and Toren's backstory WHEN?!

This is a book I randomly seen at the bookstore and thought ‘why not? It sounds good.’
This book became something i couldn’t shut up about to my friends. I was constantly gushing about Matty and Ro.
I loved the slow burn on this! I have a complicated relationship with slow burn books. I usually read them and then complain the whole time because they only get together at the end and you get 1 chapter of them being happy together. I didn’t complain once while reading this book because it wasn’t like that.
This was a strangers to friends to lovers kind of slow burn. I loved watching them become friends and start to pine for each other and slowly transition into more.
I absolutely loved Matty and his learning disabilities because i share them!! So the representation felt amazing!!

Peyton skillfully combines all the elements I adore in a story: emotional depth, relatable insecurities, cute romance, and hockey. Fans of Taylor Swift and Phoebe Bridgers vibes will find so much to love here. I also loved the clever easter eggs connecting this book to the first—Freddy’s shoelace detail might just be the cutest nod ever. I can’t wait to see how the storylines hinted at here unfold in the next book!

I first have to say that if you loved the book Unsteady by Peyton Corinne, you will love this book just as much. I love that each character has their own flaws and aren’t just superficial. I also am glad that there is still that same type of humor that was in the previous book in this one as well. Now for Freddy and Ro I literally love these characters. I just wanna give them both hugs because I feel for them both. I can definitely tell the growth the author has shown compared to the first book. I have no complaints and I can greatly say that this is one of my favorite books!!
