Drama, angst, and a heroine who could drown in her own tears—Unloved serves it all with an overwhelming intensity. Ro is heartbreakingly touch-starved and emotionally raw, but her endless whining wore me down more than it won me over. Freddy, on the other hand, is that shining, steady rock she desperately needs—an absolute anchor in her chaos.

The story leans hard into the melodrama, and unfortunately, it often feels too blunt to truly resonate. By the time the plot threw in the surprise pregnancy twist, I was already teetering on the edge of tapping out. Some stories simmer and burn; this one felt like it boiled over too quickly without letting any of the flavours settle.

Still, if you crave high-stakes emotional drama and a hero who swoops in to save the day, this might scratch that itch.
