This book had me in a vice grip! There were so many things to enjoy and I connected with both main characters on a very deep level. My heart is full after reading this.

A PERFECT FRIENDS-TO-LOVERS ROMANCE !!! God Peyton just pierces my heart every time. She writes such sensual and emotional stories, you’ll be blushing and crying. The way Peyton delicately layers her characters it makes them feel so real, their raw and vulnerable issues pulsating just under their veneer ready to crack open and spill out their inner most feelings to someone they can trust. As we see both Ro and Freddy confront their fears and pasts, the vulnerable feeling of being unlovable in different ways, as they find there way into each others hearts, letting their guard down and letting themselves be loved fully is such a life affirming arc. In a perfectly paced novel that sets the beats of their relationship from tutor-student to friends to falling in love, you cheer and scream for them every step of the way, root for them to have their wins. Both of their stories are heartbreaking, harsh realities they both have to face, work through, and together they do just that. One of my favorite thing about romance as a genre is how it makes me feel seen, how I see parts of myself in these characters, and with Ro and Freddy I definitely felt that connection, my own heart overflowing with love for them, crying for them, and wanting to just read more about their life together. Unsteady and Unloved are a perfect pair, I can’t even pick a favorite, so this is your sign to read them BOTH now.

ALSO the audio book is TOP TIER. These narrators were so good, evoking Ro and Freddy 🥹
